A Visit to the Dragons Head

I reached Beach 16 at Rye in the late afternoon. The sky was mainly clear, but there was the hint of wispy clouds forming overhead. The only question was would they form out towards the sunset?

Unfortunately there was to be no colourful clouds in my sunset shot, but at least the tide was out. The Dragons Head was showing in all its glory.

My previous visits had all coincided with higher tides, which left little of the rock visible. So I counted myself lucky with what was in front of me this evening.

There were several other photographers around, so it became an issue in trying to get a composition which just showed the rock. I think that this composition is probably the best available that evening.
